I recently bought a Palm-Z bi-plane. It weighs a total of 6.5 grammes fully charged. And 6.5 grammes when fully discharged after at least 5 minutes of fun. The two channel proportional control is for propeller speed and rudder. The rudder uses an ingenious electromagnetic actuator that provides proportional adjustment.
This little plane flies in a small room - in circles. To fly squares or figure eights requires a slightly larger room. But in any space it is loads of fun and requires constant attention to the controls otherwise a crash is inevitable. But at 6.5 grammes the crash is just a light touch and no harm is done.
The biggest danger is that you may accidentally step on it. Also, keep it away from children because it is easily broken by rough handling.
